Shares of Larsen & Toubro climbed over 2 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company announced that its water & effluent treatment business bagged orders worth Rs 23.88 billion.
Boosted by new orders, stocks of the company gained as much as 2.11 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 1302.00 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar trend, shares of the firm were trading 1.98 per cent higher at Rs 1,300.00 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 36,686.12, up 420.19 points, or 1.16 per cent at 12:05 hours.
