Shares of Ambuja Cements rallied over 5 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on the Bombay Stock Exchange after analysts opined that cement demand is expected to pick-up quickly post monsoon.
In an otherwise range bound market, stocks of the company gained as much as 5.20 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 241.40 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar trend, shares of the firm were trading 4.46 per cent higher at Rs 240.00 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 38,298.57, up 19.82 points, or 0.05 per cent, from previous close on the BSE at 12:45 hours.
