Shares of Bajaj Auto rose over 2 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange after the auto major reported 30 per cent growth in August sales at 437,092 units as compared to 335,031 units sold in the same month last year.
Driven by strong monthly sales, shares of the company gained as much as 2.21 per cent to touch an intra-day high of Rs 2,807.20 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar trend, stocks of the firm were trading at Rs 2,782.00 apiece, up 1.35 per cent, on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 38,685.35, up 40.28 points, or 0.10 per cent, from previous close on the BSE at 11:30 hours.
