Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a two-day Global Investors' Summit at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun on December 8, as announced by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday. Dhami highlighted the continuous guidance from the Prime Minister in the state's development matters during the Destination Uttarakhand Energy Conclave. Drawing inspiration from Vibrant Gujarat, Destination Uttarakhand aims to attract investments. The Energy Conclave already witnessed MoUs exceeding Rs 40,000 crore, emphasizing the investment potential in Uttarakhand's power sector.
Ahead of the summit, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, accompanied by acting DGP Abhinav Kumar, inspected the venue and instructed officials to enhance security measures for the Prime Minister's visit. Raturi emphasized the need for timely arrangements, including ample parking facilities and a well-thought-out route diversion plan to minimize inconvenience to the public.
Scheduled to conclude on December 9, the two-day event focuses on securing investments for the state. Chief Minister Dhami actively promoted the summit through roadshows in major Indian cities and in London and Birmingham, extending invitations to potential investors. The city is now adorned to host this significant event.
