The Ministry of Textiles celebrated the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 with a series of initiatives across the country aimed at promoting cleanliness and public health. The JCI Regional Office organized “Safai Mitras Suraksha Shivirs” for Safai Mitras and the general public, benefiting over 200 people with free health check-ups, medicines, and other services.
In Mumbai, the Textiles Committee hosted Swachh Bharat Cultural Fests at high-traffic locations, featuring local art, music, and dance forms to raise awareness. The National Handloom Development Corporation Limited (NHDC) carried out cleanliness activities at its headquarters on 22nd September, with ongoing drives at regional offices.
The National Jute Board conducted a mass-scale cleanliness drive in New Town, Kolkata, actively supported by the NJB Secretary and officials. Meanwhile, the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi, undertook pest control and deep-cleaning activities as part of the campaign.
These efforts reflect the Ministry’s commitment to maintaining hygiene, promoting public health, and encouraging community participation in the Swachh Bharat initiative.
