Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has inaugurated its first stainless steel fabrication unit at Washivali, Patalganga (Mumbai) through its subsidiary Jindal Stainless Steelway Ltd (JSSL).
Developed with an initial investment of Rs 125 crore, the 4 lakh sq. ft. facility will focus on fabricating bridge components such as girders and aims to set new standards in integrated infrastructure solutions.
The unit is expected to ramp up its annual fabrication capacity from 4,000 tonnes to 18,000 tonnes by FY26-27, generating over 250 direct jobs and supporting 150+ families indirectly.
Commenting on the launch, MD Abhyuday Jindal said the facility reinforces the company’s commitment to providing end-to-end, high-quality solutions for India’s growing infrastructure sector. CEO & CFO Tarun Khulbe added that the initiative bridges the gap between material excellence and skilled fabrication.
The plant aligns with Jindal Stainless’ ESG goals and will be solar-powered in its next phase, marking a key step toward sustainable infrastructure development.
