Indian equities opened higher on Thursday as markets reacted to the GST restructuring unveiled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday.
At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81205.62 up by 637.91 points or by 0.79 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24715.05 up by 135.45 points or by 0.55 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81456.67 and intraday low of 81044.53 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24737.05 and intraday low of 24533.2
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3500.00,+6.56%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 933.55,+4.13%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1222.00,+2.29%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 419.55,+1.96%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2004.60,+1.95%), among others.
