Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty advanced for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday, helped by a rally in blue-chip bank stocks and buying by domestic institutional investors.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81926.75 up by 136.63 points or by 0.17 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25108.3 up by 30.65 points or by 0.12 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 82309.56 and intraday low of 81787.48 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25220.9 and intraday low of 25076.3
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1436.50,+1.40%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1929.20,+1.40%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 749.15,+1.33%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12179.30,+0.99%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 289.45,+0.92%), among others.
